Want a voucher of €2,500 for your company?
Did you know, the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources (DCENR) is giving small businesses a Voucher of up to €2,500 for ecommerce, web design, and online marketing of an eCommerce website. That’s right! The grant is designed to help new businesses trade online by offering the company a grant of €2,500 as part of the Trading Online Vouchers scheme.
A Worldwide trend of selling online has taken over the planet, but it seems that companies in Ireland are still trailing behind. In fact, between 2018 and 2020, it is estimated that only 23% of Irish businesses are directly selling through their eCommerce website. For businesses employing less than ten people, this percentage is shockingly even lower.
It is widely believed that over 70% of online purchase made by people in Ireland, were actually bought in overseas markets. This just isn’t good enough for a country like Ireland.
Trading online significantly increases your potential market. With an eCommerce website, your profits are no longer limited by the number of customers that can physically visit your business premises. You can sell across towns, states, and even across borders, removing all geographical limitations. So why not start the trend and get your business selling online!
